PM to launch the largest infrastructure plan in country history for any region

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said Prime Minister Imran Khan will announce a ‘biggest development package’ on Saturday for any city in Pakistan’s history,

Taking up Twitter, Asad Umar said construction work in Karachi will be conducted with the cooperation of Center and Sindh’s provincial government.

“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan People’s Party (PP) have directed the Sindh government to try to strengthen Karachi by leaving away their political differences,” he said.

The minister of planning further said the construction work will also be carried out in other Sindh towns.

Asad Umar said in another tweet that the success of Pakistan against the Coronavirus pandemic has been recognized internationally and that a regeneration of the country’s largest city will now begin.

It is fitting to note here that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will visit Karachi today (Saturday) on a day-long visit during which he will announce the Karachi Transformation Plan for the rain-hit metropolitan city.

According to the schedule of the visit of PM Imran, the PM will travel to the Governor House soon after his arrival in the city where he will preside over the meeting of the Karachi Transformation Committee.
