Shahtaj Textile Limited is a company of the Shahnawaz Group. In January 1990, it was formed as a public limited company with the sole aim of developing and selling grey fabrics. The company is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited. In January 1992, the mills went into industrial production.

Its production facilities are based at the Textile Industries hub near Lahore (Pakistan) and are fitted with the most sophisticated Japanese and Belgian high-speed Toyoda and Picanol Air Jet Looms. The number of installed looms is now 178 with a full backup mechanism and a stand-by self-generation of power beginning with 72 looms.

Its business strategy was to be the provider of choice for Pakistan’s leading production and export houses. Shahtaj Textile Limited has established its reputation in Pakistan as a leading supplier of high-quality greige fabric to main exporters over the last 25 years of operations in addition to exports to many international buyers.

Shahtaj Textile Limited has always managed to establish and retain a reputation for quality in both the domestic and export markets by delivering its goods to its customers on time and in strict accordance with the accepted requirements.

Great consideration and focus are placed on strict regulation of quality at Shahtaj Textile Limited while keeping a healthy balance between production and productivity without losing quality.

As per the customer requirement, the 4-point system of the American Society for Quality Control System (ASQC) is typically applied and our professional cloth inspectors carefully examine each piece of grey fabric.

Both these efforts are paying off and the firm has a strong record of profits and dividends being paid. The company received around Rs.188.048 million profit after tax last year (2018/2019) and paid a 100 percent cash dividend.
